From new stone structures to the restoration of historic façades, our craftsmen combine traditional laying techniques with modern precision to create and preserve buildings of enduring strength, beauty, and authenticity.

For three generations, Weldon Stone has built and restored masonry structures across the UK, from new stone buildings and extensions to heritage façades and architectural features. Our team understands how to integrate traditional craftsmanship with contemporary project requirements, ensuring every detail is both structurally sound and visually sympathetic. All new stone is drawn, sawn, worked and laid in-house.
Whether constructing new stonework or reinstating original details and , we work closely with architects, engineers, and estate teams to deliver projects that honour the building’s fabric and meet today’s exacting standards. Our experience extends from private residences and estates to civic and heritage landmarks, with a focus on authenticity, durability, and quality workmanship.
Each project begins with careful assessment of the site and surrounding architecture to determine the appropriate stone type, tooling, and lime mortar that has been matched to the geographical area. We source stone from regional or historically compatible quarries, ensuring both geological and aesthetic integrity.
Our craftsmen use a combination of hand-carving, traditional dressing, and precision cutting, achieving seamless integration between new and existing work. Every joint, profile, and finish is executed with care - balancing time-honoured techniques with the accuracy and efficiency of modern tools.

We believe the best results come from open communication and collaboration. From the first site survey to final handover, we maintain clear dialogue with all project stakeholders — ensuring progress, safety, and quality control are consistently maintained.
